The Epiphany Foundation grants support individuals and groups participating in existing spiritual formation or leadership programs of not-for-profit agencies. Grants may support groups or organizations looking to enhance the quality of leadership or programming of such events.

Guidelines
The Foundation supports opportunities for:
- Individuals to experience solitude
- Individuals to experience Christian community
- Individuals or groups to engage in cutting-edge Spiritual formation study in fields of leadership, education, wellness, psychology, religion, and other applicable disciplines
- Christian leadership to develop skills for guiding and training others in spiritual disciplines
- Christian leadership to engage in improving existing Spiritual formation programs and exploring new, innovative work in Spiritual formation
Types of Events Sponsored
- Retreats of two or more days that provide instruction and/or times for quiet reflection and prayer for individuals or small groups
- Single days of instruction and experience or simply quiet and solitude in an appropriate setting
- Large conferences or programming for churches or other Christian organizations
- Leadership retreats for assessment and evaluation of existing Spiritual formation programs that align with the purpose and goals of the Foundation.
- The Foundation may directly sponsor events.
Foundation grants may be applied to providing support for programs or events including but not limited to: suitable facilities; educational materials and administrative assistance; enrichment, supervision, and advanced training for leadership; and education of new leadership.
Foundation grants cannot support: travel expenses, all-inclusive travel programs, and agency packaged excursions or tours.
Grant Eligibility
- Grants must be payable to a charitable or religious, tax-exempt organization identified by IRS as a 501(c)(3) entity.
- Funds are always allocated to an organization, not to an individual.
- Individuals may apply for financial assistance to attend programs or events meeting the above criteria. Individual grants do not exceed $700.
- Groups may apply for financial assistance to attend, sponsor, or facilitate programs or events meeting the above criteria. Group grants do not typically exceed $3,000.
- Individuals and organizations must be based in the United States and have a U.S. based tax-id number. The Epiphany Foundation is unable to fund individuals and groups based outside of the United States.
- Individuals or organizations are only eligible to receive a grant once every three years.
Granting Periods
- Grant applications are reviewed once a year following the granting deadline.
- The deadline to submit a grant application is March 14.
- Decisions will be made and communicated to applicants in June.
Recipient Responsibilities
Individuals and organizations receiving grants are obligated to spend the funds on the program for which they were granted and submit a post event report to the Foundation.
